I have drafted a petition to the US government regarding my thoughts on Palestinian statehood - please take a look!

At least eight people have been killed so far today in the Afghan capital of Kabul amid two (possibly three) suicide bombings as well as gunfire from gunmen.  Police are still battling with the armed gunmen in the city.

Today is Independence Day in Afghanistan, which it obtained from Britain in 1919.
